FREE Chick-fil-A for a year for 30 Hampton City Schools teachers

Through this pandemic, there have been quite the number of community heroes, and teachers are certainly included in this special group. Teachers have had their personal struggles through this time of COVID, yet they have continued to touch the lives of our young people each day - during a time when many of our students needed them the most - through Zoom, phone calls, house visits, in-person instruction, and more.

Members of our community have joined us in recognizing our teacher heroes during Teacher Appreciation Week! Many community partners have sponsored individual schools and provided breakfasts, lunches, goody bags, and more for our teachers.

One specific community partner helped surprise our Hampton City Schools teachers in a big way! During a special video thanks from Superintendent Jeffery Smith, he announced that James and Sheila Perry from Chick-fil-A wanted to recognize our teachers for being community heroes. With the opening of their Newmarket Chick-fil-A location this week (their second location in Hampton; other on Mercury Blvd.), they provided HCS 30 gift cards . . .  with each card good for FREE Chick-fil-A for a YEAR (52 original Chick-fil-A sandwich meals) . . . to recognize the hard work of our teachers during this difficult year.
