Forrest Elementary School honors volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week
To celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week representatives from Forrest Elementary School went to visit several of its volunteers to let them know how much they are appreciated for all that they do even during this COVID year.
Principal Elizabeth Cromartie said, “Forrest volunteers stayed engaged at ‘the place to grow’ throughout these unprecedented times. From putting up bulletin boards, to giving their time at our local neighborhoods when we went to our families when they couldn't come to us, these wonderful people know what it means to help our school be a part of the larger community.”
“As our motto goes, ‘Every Child, Every Day, Whatever it Takes!’ the Forrest volunteers have adopted this in their hearts as well. We are so grateful!,” said Valerie Wolfe, Forrest family engagement specialist.
