It's National Arts in Education Week (September 13-19)!

Hampton City Schools proudly celebrates the transformative power of visual art, music, and theatre in the lives of all our students.

As we start this school year, you can find stories about our students' and schools' Fine Arts achievements from last school year located here.

“The arts build durable human skills. Arts education is an essential part of a well-rounded education. Through the arts, students discover their voices, express their ideas, build confidence, collaborate with others, and develop the creativity and problem-solving skills needed for success in school, the workplace, and life,” shared Kelly Dee, visual and performing arts curriculum leader

We recognize our talented student artists and performers and thank all of our dedicated arts educators, families, school leaders, and community partners who make these meaningful experiences possible.

In HCS, the arts do more than enrich education; they help students imagine, create, connect, and thrive.
