First Lady of Virginia visits Albert W. Patrick III Elementary School

First Lady Pamela Northam traveled to Albert W. Patrick III, Elementary School in Hampton on Friday, September 24, 2021,  as part of the First Lady's Back-to-School Tour 2021. She visited the PreK classrooms and read a story about a beekeeper to one PreK class. She also stopped by a kindergarten and first grade classroom as well as gave a special thanks to the school nurse. During her time at Patrick Elementary, she handed out special coins to the students and staff, which featured either a Virginian animal or plant on one side.

“It was such a pleasure to be able to share the amazing things that happen here at Patrick Elementary with the First Lady of Virginia and Delegate Mugler,” said Brynne Cere, Patrick principal. “Their passion for early education was evident through their interactions with our students and staff. Everyone was grateful for their words of support and encouragement!”

Other guests in attendance were Martha Mugler, State Delegate of the 91st District; and Dr. Jeffery Smith, Superintendent of Hampton City Schools.
