The Mighty Marching Bruins dominate fall competitions
The Mighty Marching Bruins (MMB) have once again proven that hard work, discipline, and dedication lead to excellence. Over the past two weekends, Bethel High School’s award-winning marching band brought home top honors from two major regional competitions.
At the Warhill Classic Marching Band Competition, the Bruins competed in Class AAA and earned:
1st Place – Percussion (Class AAA)
1st Place – Color Guard (Class AAA)
1st Place – Music (Class AAA)
1st Place – Band (Class AAA)
Continuing their winning streak, the MMB also excelled at the “Bands Along the Bay” Marching Band Competition, competing in Class AA and earning:
Best Visual (Class AA)
Best Music (Class AA)
Best Percussion (Class AA)
1st Place (Class AA)
Among 16 outstanding bands at the competition, Bethel’s percussion section ranked 2nd overall, and the Mighty Marching Bruins placed 4th overall—a tremendous accomplishment against strong regional competitors.
“I am so proud of our Mighty Marching Bruins for their consistent excellence and teamwork,” said Bethel High School executive principal Dr. Tanya V. Howard. “Their performances reflect the heart of Bethel discipline, pride, and passion in everything we do. They continue to set the standard for what it means to be a Bruin.”
