Kellie Goral, executive director of public relations and marketing, shares, “Public relations (PR) and marketing is a critical component to any public school system. The HCS PR and marketing team is ultimately responsible for telling the division's story. Each story must show not only the good work that is being accomplished in every school as well as divisionwide, but ultimately tells each story in a way that the content makes the end reader want to take the time to stop and learn about the story. Each day our graphics department (under the direction of Matt Houser), print shop and records (under the direction of Marty Wood), and PEG TV (under the direction of Andy Foley), work diligently to make the content great. Winning an Award of Excellence (the highest recognition) in three categories validates the outstanding communication that is created and produced by these departments. These individuals and their staff members are not afraid to think outside of the box, try new ideas, and push the envelope when it comes to their work.”
