HCS students win 2021 Coliseum Central Holiday Art Contest
Students from four Hampton schools placed in this year’s Coliseum Central Holiday Art Contest. Students submitted their interpretations of “Holiday Magic,” this year’s theme. The following students are the winners in the contest:
Grand prize winner – Kanaya Street, senior at Bethel High School; Noe Aviles, art teacher
Elementary school first place winner – Imani Williams, third grade student at Smith Elementary School; Victoria Martin, art teacher
Middle school first place winner – Rebecca White, seventh grade student at Kilgore Gifted Center; Ashley Waite, art teacher
High school first place winner – Lucy Brady, freshman at Kecoughtan High School; Shaun Redd, art teacher
Over 130 HCS students created holiday-themed artwork to compete in the Coliseum Holiday Art Contest. The work of the finalists will be displayed daily on the Coliseum Central holiday site starting on Saturday, November 20, leading up to December 24, when the grand prize winner’s artwork will be posted.
