Excel Art Program holds annual art show

The Excel Gifted Art Program hosted its annual student art show on May 5, 2026, showcasing the creativity and talent of students in grades three through eight. The program is designed to support and strengthen students’ artistic abilities through advanced instruction in visual arts concepts, techniques, and creative expression.

Students in the program work weekly with Hampton City Schools art teachers and explore a variety of artistic mediums, including sculpture, painting, watercolor, and mixed media. Admission into the program is determined through a portfolio review process that identifies students with exceptional artistic potential, strong achievement in art, and recommendations from their art teachers.
