Linda Bradley receives Muriel S. Wright Office Professional of the Year Award

Congratulations to Linda Bradley, administrative secretary in the counseling office at Kilgore Gifted Center (KGC). She is the 2024 recipient of the Muriel S. Wright Office Professional of the Year Award.

Bradley was announced as the winner at the Hampton Association of Educational Office Professionals (HAEOP) annual recognition banquet on May 30, 2024. Hampton City Schools (HCS) employees nominate individuals for the honor and applications are judged based on criteria established for the award. She was nominated by her supervisor and principal of Kilgore, Paul Lawrence.

“Ms. Bradley works to keep our building running smoothly every day,” said Lawrence. “She is a team player who is willing to do whatever it takes to help KGC be successful. I have come to rely on her as an indispensable member of our team.”

Bradley started out as a substitute teacher and has been a full-time member of the HCS family and Kilgore for six years. She is a faithful member of HAEOP and an active member of her church where she loves to sing in the choir.

The Muriel Wright Award was established in 1988 by Muriel (Winnie) Wright, a long-time HCS employee and early member of HAEOP. She established the award, with a cash prize, to recognize outstanding office professionals and HAEOP members.

Congratulations again to Linda Bradley for her outstanding service to Hampton City Schools and for receiving this well-deserved honor.
