Middle school bands and choruses achieve at spring music assessments
Following the state music assessment, secondary music programs can participate in spring music assessments to continue to develop their skills. Students from the schools performed for panels of adjudicators, received feedback from professional musicians, and listened to professional musical ensembles.
“The students, teachers, and schools are to be commended for their continued growth and achievement. Learning an instrument or singing in a choir is where students have fun while learning discipline, dedication, and teamwork. It teaches children the value of hard work, practice, and perseverance. These are qualities that are essential for success in any area of life,” said Kelly Dee, visual and performing arts curriculum leader.
