Hampton City Schools 8th Annual Run 4 the Stage 5K raises nearly $10,000 for student scholarships
The Hampton City Schools 8th Annual Run 4 the Stage 5K was held on May 20, 2023, at Sandy Bottom Park. There was a total of 283 participants. The Run for the Stage 5K is held annually to support on-time graduation by providing funding for community college scholarships.
This year’s race was a huge success raising over $9,300. The event offered ten 2023 HCS graduates with $2,000 scholarships to assist with their college expenses. The Run 4 the Stage event has raised over $121,700 in the last eight years.
