Bryan Elementary School holds career day
Bryan Elementary School held their first Career Day grades kindergarten through five on Friday, March 22, 2024. The event was sponsored by the school’s Student Council Association (SCA) and was a great success!
The Career Day event included a rotation of 20 professionals including a pilates instructor, veterinarian, engineer/project manager, screenwriter/actor/producer, make-up artist, program analyst, safety resource officer, DJ/entertainer, Red Cross representative, Franks Monster Munchies owner, loctician/CEO, financial advisor, State Farm COO, Beyond Bricks home inspector, model, physicist, WHRO editor, elected official, and marketing/public relations representative for Wind Energy. Classes were able to move from room-to-room to visit each profession.
“Mrs. Wassel (our school secretary) was my favorite presenter because I liked the pictures of when she was acting,” said first grader Ava Frierson. “She got to play in movies.”
Third grader Masiah Jones-Williams said, “The model was my favorite, and he showed his best model pose.”
“Overall, students were highly engaged and viewed the home inspector, physicist, and make-up artist/CEO as some of their favorites,” said Leenette Foster, Bryan literacy support specialist. “They willingly endured the cold to experience the fire truck!”
