Hampton City Schools earns six national recognitions for digital marketing

Hampton City Schools' (HCS) public relations and marketing department earned accolades from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) 2024 Publications and Digital Media Awards program: one award of excellence, the highest honor; one award of merit; and four honorable mentions. NSPRA's awards celebrate outstanding educational publications, e-newsletters, digital media programs, radio/TV/video programs, social media, infographics, blogs, and websites. These recognitions come in a year where NSPRA reported having a record number of entries submitted.

Kellie Goral, the executive director overseeing Hampton City Schools' public relations and marketing department shared, “Public relations and marketing play a critical role in a public school system. The contributions of the division's graphics department, led by Matt Houser, the print shop and records managed by Marty Wood, and PEG TV overseen by Andy Foley are invaluable to our organization. Together, they strategically craft consistent and targeted messaging that not only communicates Hampton's narrative but also cultivates strong relationships with all stakeholders. Being recognized by NSPRA and receiving six awards, affirms the collaborative effort and dedication of these departments in producing cutting-edge and innovative PR content for HCS.”
