Arlando Budd, fifth grader at Langley Elementary School, gives opening at the June 5 School Board meeting

 

Arlando Budd, a fifth-grade student at Langley Elementary School, was selected to deliver the opening remarks at the School Board meeting held on June 5, 2024. He read a poem, State of Mind, written by Walter D. White.

Arlando likes watching basketball and playing sport games on his PS5. He also enjoys researching and learning about wrestlers. His favorite subjects are science and social studies and he enjoys learning about how things worked in the past and the effect that they have on our life today.

Arlando was accompanied at the meeting by his parents, younger siblings, his teacher, and Langley’s assistant principal Rasán Holmes.
