Jessica Boone, fifth grade student at Kraft Elementary School, gives opening at the July 15 School Board meeting

Jessica Boone, a fifth grade student at Kraft Elementary School, was selected to give the opening at the July 15, 2026, School Board meeting. She read a poem entitled One Small Spark, author unknown.

Jessica enjoys dancing, listening to music, watching TV, and relaxing. Her favorite subjects are science and math.

Jessica’s mother, father, sister, grandma, great grandma, Kraft principal Sandra Taylor, assistant principal Andrea Darden, and previous Kraft principal Robyn Crump joined her at the meeting.
