KHS students excel at Virginia Thespian Festival
Congratulations to students from Kecoughtan High School, under the direction of Tracy Bourne, who made an outstanding showing at the Virginia Thespian Festival in Washington, D.C.
Madison Newton and Piper Gilly shone on stage as part of the All-State cast of A Chorus Line.
Sophia Harris was awarded a $1000 Virginia Thespian Scholarship for Acting.
The following students won for the competition one-act:
Madison Newton - Best Student Direction
Wyatt Fatkin - Top Actor
Scott Briggs, Tam (Helena) Avila, Phoenix Harris - All-star Actors
Thespy Superior Ratings were as follows; these students qualify to compete at the International Thespian Festival this summer in Indiana.

Matt Bever - Solo Acting
Will Davenport - Musical Theatre Duet, Musical Theatre Dance (Group)
Phoenix Harris - Musical Theatre Duet
Madison Newton - Short Film
Natalee Harris - Musical Theatre Dance (Solo, Duet & Group)
Paige LaRoche - Musical Theatre Dance (Duet & Group)
Madison Newton was also recognized as Best in Festival for the Short Film Thespy. In addition, Scott Briggs, Natalee Harris, Paige LaRoche and Will Davenport received Thespy callbacks to perform on the festival mainstage.
