Triston Eugene Ott, fifth grader at Mary S. Peake Elementary School, gives opening at the January 11 School Board meeting

 

Triston Eugene Ott, a fifth grade student at Mary S. Peake Elementary School, was selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and give the opening at the January 11, 2023, School Board meeting. He read a poem entitled The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.

 

Triston’s hobbies include playing outside, reading books about adventure and mysteries, playing soccer, and football. He also loves dogs and science is his favorite subject in school. Triston has an older brother who attends Lindsay Middle School and a younger sister who attends Mary Peake.

Triston’s parents and siblings as well as his principal, Sharif Hicks joined him at the meeting.
