Bethel High School hosts NAWI Color of Justice Program
Bethel High School proudly served as the host site for the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association NAWI Color of Justice Program on Saturday, April 18. This impactful event provided students with valuable exposure to careers in the legal field through meaningful engagement with professionals.
Members of the association—including sitting and retired judges, attorneys, and law students—led dynamic panel discussions, offering students firsthand insight into the legal profession and the pathways to success within it.
A highlight of the program was the “Lunch with the Bench and Bar” experience, where students participated in one-on-one and small group conversations with legal professionals. This unique opportunity allowed students to ask questions, explore career interests, and build connections with individuals currently serving in the field.
“Providing our students with direct access to professionals in the legal field allows them to see what is possible for their future,” said Dr. Tanya Howard, executive principal of Bethel High School. “Experiences like the Color of Justice Program empower our students to dream bigger, ask questions, and begin building the networks that will support their success beyond high school.”
Events like the Color of Justice Program reflect Bethel’s ongoing commitment to preparing students for college, career, and life by connecting them with real-world experiences and professional networks.
