Bethel High School’s FCCLA chapter is making its mark across Virginia
During the 2026 Virginia Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference, Bethel High School (BHS) students represented the school with pride, leadership, and vision. Although Bethel’s FCCLA chapter is in its first year, the students quickly emerged as leaders among the state’s newest chapters.
Out of the 11 new FCCLA chapters established in Virginia this year, Bethel High School received the New Member Award and a $500 chapter grant in recognition of the chapter’s outstanding start and strong student involvement. Bethel was also recognized as one of Virginia’s “Game Changing” chapters for its innovation, enthusiasm, and commitment to growing the organization.
Throughout the conference, BHS students participated in leadership sessions, networking opportunities, and program development activities. Students returned energized and eager to expand FCCLA at Bethel High School.
“Watching our students embrace leadership, dream bigger, and build something that will last beyond themselves is exactly what Bethel High School is all about,” said Dr. Howard, executive principal. “Their passion, vision, and commitment are making history, and this is only the beginning.”
Bethel High School is proud of its FCCLA students and sponsor, Jakelynn Ellis, for representing the Home of Academic Excellence with Bruin pride.
