Seniors set to celebrate graduation at the Hampton Coliseum, June 12, 13 & 14


As the 2024–2025 school year winds down, Hampton City Schools is preparing to celebrate the accomplishments of its graduating seniors with ceremonies at the Hampton Coliseum. From June 12 to 14, the division expects to award diplomas to approximately 1,500 students. This milestone follows the early achievement of 65 students who earned associate degrees from Virginia Peninsula Community College on May 15.


Students from Bethel High School will graduate on Thursday, June 12, at 7:00 p.m. There will be approximately 422 graduates to walk across the stage. The valedictorian is Isabella Mendez and the salutatorian is JaMya Ribbon.


Hampton High School will award diplomas to approximately 320 students on Friday, June 13, at 7:00 p.m. The school has co-valedictorians Nirmani Brahmbhatt and Nishtha Brahmbhatt and Noemi Flores is the salutatorian.


Phoebus High School, with approximately 377 graduates, will hold its graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 14 at 9:00 a.m. Robert Staton, III is the school’s valedictorian and Dante James and Owen Smith are the co-salutatorians.


Approximately 375 students from Kecoughtan High School will graduate on Saturday, June 14, at 1:30 p.m. The school’s valedictorian is Lucy Brady. Williard Davenport is the salutatorian.


As of June 5, 2025, students in the class of 2025 have been offered more than $66,132,477 million in grants and scholarships.


The ceremonies will be held at the Hampton Coliseum, 1000 Coliseum Drive, Hampton. All guests (including children) will be required to have a ticket for entry. Please note that there is a dress code for attendees. No shorts or denim/jean attire of any color will be permitted.


Parking will be at a premium, so guests are encouraged to arrive early or carpool with family and friends.


Each of the ceremonies will be televised on the HCS PEG stations, Cox Channel 46 and Verizon FIOS Channel 20. The graduations will be rebroadcast beginning Thursday, June 20. Click here for the schedule. DVDs and flash drives are available for purchase.
