If you could thank a teacher who had the greatest impact on you, who would it be and why?

She was accepted to Liberty University, Sweet Briar College, Randolph College, Radford University, Albright College, Barton College, Roanoke College, Emory & Henry College, and Bridgewater College. “One of my fondest high school memories was performing Trap as a Main Stage at the Virginia Thespian Festival and performing with the band and theatre in general.”

A tradition at your school you will miss:
“A tradition I will miss at Kecoughtan is the pep rallies, especially as a marching band member.”

An achievement you are most proud of:
“I am proud of all of my achievements, but I am especially thankful to be named the salutatorian of Kecoughtan High School. It shows that all of my hard work over the years has really paid off.”

I am proud to be an HCS graduate because:
“I am proud to be an HCS graduate because my education has been one of quality and I have learned and gained so much from my teachers over the years as well as the faculty, whether it be at Langley, Spratley, or Kecoughtan.”

If you could thank a teacher who had the greatest impact on you, who would it be and why?
“It is difficult to pick just one teacher who has had the greatest impact on me because there have been so many. In elementary school, I would say that Mr. and Mrs. Humble had the greatest impact on me as they helped mold me into who I am today and were always so supportive and uplifting. In middle school, Mrs. Young was definitely the most influential for me, even though she wasn’t technically my teacher, because she taught me and my other cast and crew members that hard work truly does pay off and that we were loved no matter what. Her support over the years has meant more than she knows, especially as she continued to support us outside of middle school and into our high school years. In high school, Ms. Dunn has always been so understanding and makes it known that she supports her students and is proud of them, which has really been impactful for me in my high school journey. All of these teachers have had such a great impact on me and my life that it would be nearly impossible to choose just one of them. Having supportive and loving teachers has been so important for my upbringing and I am beyond grateful to them and many others.”
