Cooper teacher Dr. Rokasha Edmondson is appointed to VRS Board

Congratulations to Dr. Rokasha Edmondson, who was appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Retirement System (VRS). She was appointed by the Virginia General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Rules on August 19, 2026, to fill an unexpired term ending February 28, 2027. She is eligible to be reappointed for another five-year term.

“We take great pride in Dr. Edmondson, whose leadership and experience continue to benefit her students daily while shaping the future of her fellow educators,” said Cooper principal Mallary Reynolds.

Edmondson is presently a kindergarten teacher at Cooper Elementary Magnet School for Technology.
