Kilgore celebrates double victory in middle school soccer championships

Congratulations to the Kilgore Gifted Center girls soccer team, under the direction of Hannah Woodward, and the boys soccer team, under the direction of Carlos Koster, for winning the middle school championships on October 20, 2026.

The girls team sealed the title with a record of 9-0-1 for the season and a winning championship game against Andrews PreK-8 School of 3-2. The boys had a perfect record for the season at 10-0 and won their final game against Syms Middle School 4-0.

“Everyone at Kilgore is so proud of our Seahawks teams. Our girls have won the title in back-to-back years, and our boys have won it for the very first time,” said Kilgore principal Paul Lawrence. “We want to thank our coaches, Hannah Woodward and Carlos Koster, for their time and commitment to our sports program. We also want to thank our parents and families for their support during this fantastic season.”

Well done to all of the middle school teams and a great season!
