Hampton’s Got Talent, and it is taking the stage at H.E.F. Fest!
Get ready, Hampton! The Hampton Education Foundation (HEF) is turning up the volume for its 5th Annual H.E.F. Fest on Friday, November 6, at The Vanguard in downtown Hampton. This is not your average chicken-dinner fundraiser!
Picture a band of familiar faces from across Hampton Roads, including community leaders, educators, and even a few people you might spot at city hall or the school board, trading their day jobs for microphones and instruments.
More Hampton City Schools (HCS) staff are getting in on the act, too! Jennifer Holmes, librarian at Forrest Elementary School, and Maurice Rogers of the HCS graphics team were chosen through HEF’s Rock the Mic contest to perform with the band. Who knew so much talent was hiding in our schools?
The real stars, though, are the teachers and students of Hampton City Schools, who benefit from every dollar raised. This year is especially meaningful as HEF celebrates 25 years of supporting innovation, creativity, and opportunity in HCS.
One night. One community. A whole lot of fun!
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music begins at 7:00 p.m., and teacher grant recognition follows at 8:30 p.m. General admission tickets are available ($5 in advance, $10 at the door), along with extra credit VIP tickets ($125 featuring mezzanine access, a private bar, a dinner buffet, beverages, and a few extra perks).
Come for the music. Stay for the community. Leave knowing you have helped make a difference!
