Analytical Mechanics Association golf tournament drives support for innovative teacher grants

On October 3, 2025, the fourth annual Analytic Mechanics Associates (AMA) and Hampton Education Foundation (HEF) golf tournament was held at the beautiful Newport News Deer Run Golf Course, bringing together community members, business partners, and supporters for a day of fun, fellowship, and philanthropy.

 

This year’s event welcomed 47 golfers who teed off in support of Hampton City Schools’ innovative teacher grants—funding that helps educators bring creative, hands-on learning experiences to students across the division.

 

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of all participants, the tournament successfully raised funds that will directly impact classrooms and inspire innovation in teaching and learning.

 

“The funds raised through this tournament help transform classrooms into spaces where innovation thrives,” said Dr. Jennifer Oliver, director of community and government relations. “We are so grateful to AMA and our community partners for believing in our teachers’ ability to inspire and innovate for our students.”
