Willard Davenport, senior at Kecoughtan High School, gives opening at the October 2 School Board meeting

 

Willard Davenport, a senior at Kecoughtan School, was selected to deliver the opening remarks at the School Board meeting held on October 1, 2024. He read a poem, Invictus, written by William Ernest Henley.

Willard’s favorite subjects are math and science and he enjoys reading, singing, and performing.

Willard was accompanied at the meeting by his mother, sister, Dr. Dwayne Lucas, executive principal of Kecoughtan High School, and the administrative team - Dr. Jerry Jessee, Kim Riggs Poole, Vincent Bryant, and Sharon Graham.
