HEF awards $40,000 in grants to 68 educators
Congratulations to the 2024 Hampton Education Foundation Teacher Grant winners!
The Hampton Education Foundation (HEF) has been doing great work for the past 23 years supporting teachers and enhancing educational experiences for students. The record number of applications for this year’s teacher grants demonstrates the continued need and enthusiasm for innovative educational projects.
“It’s exciting that these grants not only fund classroom equipment and supplies, but also provide opportunities for creative, collaborative efforts between teachers to make a larger impact across schools,” said executive director of the foundation, Nancy Beach.
Teachers applied for grants to increase and enhance the learning opportunities for their students. The three levels of grants are up to $500 for a general supplies or small program grant, $1,000 for an individual teacher grant, and larger grants of up to $2,500 are available to teams of teachers who are working collaboratively on projects that can have a greater impact on a school.
