Remington Keough, fifth grader at Asbury Elementary School, gives opening at the May 7 School Board meeting

Remington Keough, a fifth-grade student at Asbury Elementary School, was selected to deliver the opening remarks at the School Board meeting held on May 7, 2025. She read an excerpt from Happy Dreamer, written by Peter H. Reynolds.

Remington enjoys softball, art, and likes playing board games with her family. Her favorite subjects are math and reading.

Remington was accompanied at the meeting by her parents, brother, two sisters, her school secretary Tanaya Moore, Asbury principal Liz Franks and assistant principal Cheryl Hiers.
