Hampton City Schools is honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation for 12th year

Hampton City Schools (HCS), has once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation in 2025. This marks the 12th time the district has received this prestigious recognition, reflecting its support to provide high-quality music education to its students.

 

The NAMM Foundation's Best Communities for Music Education program acknowledges school districts that demonstrate exceptional efforts in ensuring access to comprehensive music education. HCS's consistent recognition over the years highlights the district's dedication to fostering musical excellence and its belief in the transformative power of music education.

 

Kelly Dee, the visual and performing arts curriculum leader for HCS, emphasized the significance of this achievement, attributing it to the collective efforts of students, families, music educators, administrators, and the community. Dee highlighted the power of music, stating that studying and performing music can transform an education and a life.
