Bethel High School students complete Chick-fil-A Leader Academy
A group of dedicated Bethel High School (BHS) students participated in the Chick-fil-A Academy during the 2024-2025 school year. This prestigious national high school leadership program sponsored by Chick-fil-A operators, cultivates student leadership through service, community engagement, and real-world project development. Throughout the year, participants learned about various leadership styles, honed their collaboration and planning skills, and explored ways to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
As their culminating impact project, the students chose to organize a Senior Spring Hangout at a local nursing home. On Friday, May 23, they visited the facility to spend time with residents, bringing along a variety of snacks and hosting games and activities designed to uplift and connect with the seniors. The event was filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and moments of joy for both the students and the residents.
“This project exemplified the spirit of servant leadership, a cornerstone of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, and allowed students to see firsthand the value of giving their time and energy to enrich the lives of others. We are proud of these student leaders for their initiative, compassion, and commitment to making a difference,” shared Heather Woodruff, BHS business and information technology teacher and TrAIL Academy team lead.
