KHS theatre students earn awards

The Kecoughtan High School (KHS) Theatre and On Stage Performing Arts students have been earning quite the accolades recently. The one act The Fullest, directed by student Wyatt Fatkin advanced to the VHSL 5B Super Regional One Act Festival on February 19. This was after competing in the regional round where Phoenix Harris was selected as best actor by all four judges and also again at the Super Regional One Act Festival.

The students earned runner-up (2nd Place) for the VHSL 5B Region One Act Festival with their one-act play The Fullest by Min Khang, licensed through Stage Partners.

“Our Kecoughtan Thespian Warriors brought home the runner-up title at this year's 5B Super Regional One Act Festival,” said academy principal Sharon Graham. “The troupe, led by student director Wyatt Fatkin, put on The Fullest. Special recognition to Phoenix Harris for earning Best Actor twice!”

Congratulations to the students and their sponsor Tracy Bourne on an outstanding job.
