The Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) program at Hampton High School (HHS) has earned the highest possible rating of “Exceeds Standards” following its Unit Assessment conducted on March 6, 2026. Hampton cadets have demonstrated exceptional performance and pride in achieving their unit’s goals reflecting the program’s commitment to excellence. Under the instructional guidance of Colonel (Ret) Brian Kelly and Senior Master Sergeant (Ret) Deborah Clark, the program impressed evaluators with its strong cadet leadership, active cadet participation, and selfless community involvement. The AFJROTC program at Hampton High School continues to make a lasting impact on students and the surrounding community, fostering leadership, character, and a sense of purpose among its cadets.
“This achievement is a tremendous point of pride for Hampton High School. Our AFJROTC cadets demonstrated exceptional leadership, teamwork, and professionalism during the assessment,” said HHS executive principal Haneef Majied. “A score of 90.3% and an ‘Exceeds Standards’ rating is remarkable, and it shows what can happen when students, instructors, and our entire school community work together to support one another.”
