Hampton High School boys and girls basketball teams play in state quarterfinal championships

The Hampton High School boys basketball team defeated Churchland High School 62-51 to clinch the Class 4, Region A regional championship on Saturday, March 1, 2025. They will host Varina High School on Tuesday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the state quarterfinals. The game will be played at Heritage High School (5800 Marshall Ave.) in Newport News, VA.

The Hampton High School girls basketball team came up just short with a loss of 55-54 to Manor High School on March 1. While they did not win the regional championship, they are still eligible to participate in the state quarterfinals. They will travel to Henrico High School (302 Azalea Ave., Henrico, VA) to play at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4.

Tickets for both games are $10 for ages 13 and up and $5 for ages 6 to 12. Tickets must be purchased online at GoFan.co. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the girls’ game and 6:30 p.m. for the boys’ game.
