Bethel High School celebrates diversity through Multicultural Night
Bethel High School recently welcomed students, families, and staff to Multicultural Night, an event celebrating the rich diversity that makes up the school community.
The event was a collaborative effort involving the African American Club, the Multicultural Club, the English Language Learner (ELL) Program, and the World Languages Department. Throughout the evening, students proudly shared their customs, traditions, and heritage through a cultural fashion show and interactive country displays representing their family backgrounds and heritage countries.
The celebration provided attendees with opportunities to learn about different cultures, engage in meaningful conversations, and gain a deeper appreciation for the unique perspectives and experiences that enrich the school community. By highlighting the traditions and stories of students and their families, Multicultural Night fostered a sense of belonging while promoting cultural awareness and global understanding.
“The event fostered cultural awareness, pride in heritage, and meaningful connections among students, families, and the school community,” said Leidimar Ramirez-Sandoval, director of language programs.
The evening served as a powerful reminder of the value of embracing different cultures and perspectives while creating an inclusive environment where all students feel seen, valued, and respected.
