Celebrating WishWorks!

What started as a vision became a meaningful reality thanks to the dedication and support of our community. This year, more than 60 Hampton City Schools students from our four high schools participated in WishWorks!, a district-wide student-run school non-profit enterprise designed to teach workplace readiness, teamwork, communication, inventory management, quality control, and community service through authentic, hands-on learning experiences. Two grants were used to fund the project.

With the support of school staff, community partners, donors, volunteers, and families, our students assembled and delivered more than 400 celebration cake kits to third-grade students across Hampton City Schools. The project not only provided meaningful work-based learning opportunities for high school students but also created special moments for hundreds of elementary students and their families.

WishWorks! is a reminder that when schools, families, businesses, and community organizations work together, great things happen. Thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible and to the students whose hard work brought joy to so many families throughout our community.
