Bethel High band students earn nearly $1 million in scholarships


Hampton City Schools is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of several Bethel High School band students who have earned multiple scholarship offers totaling an incredible $973,876 over four years. These talented young musicians have not only excelled in their art but have also shown determination and dedication that colleges and universities across the country are now rewarding.

 

Among the recipients is Aiden Locust, who received offers from both Kentucky State University and Virginia State University, totaling $152,000 over four years. Fellow band member Faith Horne was awarded a total of $248,000 in scholarships from Kentucky State, Virginia State, and Morgan State University.

 

Kierra Moore also earned impressive offers from Kentucky State, Virginia State, and Fayetteville State, amounting to $187,876. Michael Rinehart secured scholarships from Morgan State and Johnson C. Smith University, bringing his total to $104,000.

 

Minh Vu received generous awards from Kentucky State and Virginia State, totaling $160,000, while Trinity Horne received a combined $122,000 in scholarships from Virginia State, Morgan State, and Norfolk State University.

 

These remarkable awards are a testament to the students’ musical talent, academic commitment, and the support of Bethel High School’s exceptional band program. We congratulate each student and their families as they prepare to take the next step in their educational and musical journeys.
