Hampton City Schools’ 7th Annual Run 4 the Stage 5K raises over $11,500 for student scholarships

 

The Hampton City Schools 7th Annual Run 4 the Stage 5K was held virtually on May 28 through June 5, 2022. There was a total of 278 participants. The Run for the Stage 5K is held annually to support on-time graduation by providing funding for community college scholarships.

 

This year’s virtual race was a huge success raising over $11,500. The event offered ten 2022 HCS graduates with $2,000 scholarships to assist with their college expenses. The Run 4 the Stage event has raised over $111,000 in the last seven years.

Moton Early Childhood Center won the award for the largest team. They had 7% of their school represented. They were rewarded with medals, freebies, treats, and a three-foot trophy!
