Hampton High School’s Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society hosts food drive for local military vets

In January, students in the Hampton High School Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society and their sponsor Andrea Agle, hosted a food drive to support local military veterans. The initiative brought together Hampton High School staff and students to collect enough items to create 44 snack bags.

 

Each gallon-sized bag included cereal bars, beef jerky, cookies, bottled water, fruit cups, tuna packets, and crackers. In early February, the snack bags will be distributed to veterans visiting the Hampton VA Medical Center for medical procedures.

 

The effort reflects a schoolwide commitment within Hampton City Schools to provide comfort and appreciation to local veterans in recognition of their service and sacrifice.
