Phenix PreK-8 School cheerleaders win competition

Congratulations to the Phenix PreK-8 School cheerleaders who recently placed first and grand champion in the Middle School (non-stunt and tumble) division in the Virginia State Stomp and Shake Junior Division competition. The competition was held on January 25, 2025, at Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, VA. The team is coached by Karmen Gray and TyShae Carroll (assistant).

“Congratulations to the Phenix cheer team for their incredible achievement,” said Phenix principal Robin Hunt-Crenshaw. “Winning 1st place and the Grand Champion title at the Virginia State Stomp and Shake Junior Division competition is such a fantastic accomplishment. All of their hard work and dedication definitely paid off!”

The Eaton Fundamental Middle School cheer team, with coach Jourdyn Prince, placed third in the same division.
