Cheyenne Clements, fifth grade student at Barron Fundamental Elementary School, gives opening at the February 12 School Board meeting

 

Cheyenne Clements, a fifth grade student at Barron Fundamental Elementary School, was selected to give the opening at the February 12, 2025, School Board meeting. She read an original poem entitled I Am Somebody, written by herself, her mother, and her grandmother.

Cheyenne is a competitive dancer who loves to spend time with her grandmother and participate in activities at her church. Her favorite subject in school is science and she would like to be a lawyer when she grows up.

Cheyenne’s mother and father, brothers, sister, grandmothers, friends from the Barron Village and Laura Wyatt, principal of Barron, joined her at the meeting.
