Ryan Simmons, fifth grader at Patrick Elementary School, gives opening at the December 3 School Board meeting

Ryan Simmons, a fifth grader at Patrick Elementary School, was selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and give the opening at the December 3, 2025, School Board meeting. She shared a poem called Introducing a New Me, by Kali Dakos.

 

Ryan likes video games, theater, and art. Her favorite subjects are art, PE, reading, and science.

Her parents, as well as Sara Meier principal of Patrick, and assistant principal Jillian Rinaldi joined her at the meeting.
