Phoebus High School launches VPCC-ACE Peer Mentoring Program
Phoebus High School’s Virginia Peninsula Community College Academy of the College Experience (VPCC-ACE) has launched a new peer mentoring program designed to strengthen academic success and personal growth among students. This student-led initiative empowers trained peer mentors to support their classmates through academic challenges, goal-setting, and developing key life skills.
With guidance from an engaged advisory board, student mentors are taking on leadership roles to build a stronger, more connected school community. Just before Thanksgiving, mentor-mentee pairings were announced, officially beginning a supportive partnership that will continue throughout the school year.
Mentors and mentees will meet regularly to share experiences, discuss challenges, and celebrate achievements. The program aims to boost confidence, encourage positive decision-making, and help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Phoebus High School is proud to see students leading the way in creating a culture of encouragement, collaboration, and academic excellence through the VPCC-ACE Peer Mentoring Program.
