Hampton City Schools celebrates 2026 summer graduates

Hampton City Schools is excited to have honored our summer graduates at the 2026 summer commencement on August 6, 2026, at Kecoughtan High School.

The event included greetings from School Board Chair Dr. Richard Mason and remarks from Superintendent Dr. Raymond Haynes. Laniya Randall of Kecoughtan High School provided a student welcome. Endiyah Jackson of Hampton High School served as the class speaker, and Elias McIntosh of Bethel High School led the turning of the tassel ceremony. 

Shameka Pollard, chief of secondary school leadership, shared, “"Summer graduation is a powerful reminder that every student's journey is unique, and success does not always follow the same timeline. These graduates demonstrated resilience, determination, and perseverance in reaching this milestone, and we could not be prouder of all they have accomplished. We celebrate not only the diplomas they earned, but also the bright futures that lie ahead."
