Hampton High School athletic director Yvette Williams leads VHSL equity training

Yvette Williams, athletic director at Hampton High School, has worked closely with the Virginia High School League (VHSL) and Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association (VIAAA) during her first year as athletic director at HHS. Williams serves as the vice-chair for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee for VIAAA. 

Williams, along with committee chair Shea Collins, presented the topic of diversity at the VIAAA new athletic directors workshop in Charlottesville, VA on July 19 to 21, 2022. In addition, she spoke about her first-year experiences as an athletic director at HHS.

She has also received the distinction of Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) after passing the exam given by VHSL.
