Kilgore students’ artwork selected for Hampton Roads Social Justice Conference Art Show Exhibition

Kilgore Gifted Center eighth grade students Kara Hinshaw and Bella Mears had artworks selected for the Hampton Roads Social Justice Conference Art Show Exhibition. Their works were selected for the final day of the conference and they were both awarded cash prizes. 

Neither student was available to attend, however, their teacher Ashley Waite was able to go in their absence to take photos, collect prizes, grab them a couple of the cool t-shirts, and see old friends who helped organize the event.
