Kingston Tolbert, fourth grader at Phillips Elementary School, gives opening at the January 19 School Board meeting

 

Kingston Tolbert, a fourth grader at Phillips Elementary School, was selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and give the opening at the January 19, 2022, School Board meeting. He read Thinking Like a Scientist by Jennie Munson.

 

Kingston’s hobbies include reading, playing sports, and playing video games. His favorite genres of books include action, mystery, and comedy books. His favorite subject in school is science and he loves doing science experiments.

 

Kingston’s mother and younger sisters as well as Phillips assistant principal Kisha Jones and his teacher, Angela Dandridge, joined him at the meeting.
